Religious Education & Youth Minister
Evelin is originally from El Salvador. She has been a committed parishioner for many years. She is married to Mario Paz and is the mother of Andrea (also a Staff member) and Mauricio. For many years she has been a distinguished member of the «La Jornada Movement», for which she has been the leader in some periods. She’s been also serving as a Hospitality Minister.
Ms. Tzunun is the leader of the Jóvenes de Valor. She is also a coordinator in the Baptism Ministry. In addition, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Queens Borough Community, CUNY.
Rebeca is an administrative assistant, attendee of World Youth Day 2016, and a fourth-year college student majoring in both Childhood Education and Spanish. Volunteering as an altar server for the past 12 years, she has been the altar server coordinator for the past 2 years.
Ms. Acuña is also a leader in the Youth Ministry, the Director of our Parish’s summer camp and a Catechist. She currently attends Queens Borough Community College pursuing a degree in Special Education. She also participated in World Youth Day 2016.
Parish Director of Development and Fundraising
Ms. Sookdeo is also an Adjunct Lecturer at York College She holds a B.S. in Psychology (York College), a Master’s in English Literature (Queens College), and a Master’s in Theology (St. John’s University).
Parish Pastoral Director of Community Outreach
Maria is in charge of all Community Outreach events, including our Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry Programs. She also handles all rentals of Parish Halls for private events.
Rosmira has serving serving as the Main Sacristan for our Parish for the last 10 years. She loves serving and making herself available to help out. She is an expert in Church decoration.
Bookkeeper / HHRR Coordinator /Associate Youth Minister
Mr. Gonzalez holds a B.A in mathematics with a concentration in economics from Queens College, CUNY. He also has an Associate in Physics from College of Technology, CUNY. In addition, he holds QuickBooks certifications for Churches and business.
Parish Pastoral Director of Family Ministry
In addition to being the Director of Family Ministry, Mr. Pretzantzin is also a Lector and a minister in the Baptism ministry. He is married and has two children.
Mr. Valencia has 27 years of experience working in churches as an organist and choir conductor He is an accomplished accompanist for vocal and instrumental soloists and ensembles. Mr. Valencia studied at the Ohio State University, School of Music with a full scholarship. While he was a student he received several awards and recognition. He has performed in several U.S. cities. In addition, he performed in more than 100 collaboration artist projects in the tri-state area. Mr. Valencia is a co-founder of the Jackson Heights Community Chorus.
