12 Parishioners Commissioned as Lay Leaders


A group of 12 members of the Parish Community of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Jamaica, New York, were commissioned today as Catholic Lay Leaders by Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, Bishop of Brooklyn, in a ceremony held at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish, also located in Jamaica NY. All those who have been commissioned committed themselves to a 3-year program of studies at the “Holy Spirit Institute†of our diocese, following the Lay Ministry Program. Their names are: Virginia Maldonado, Marcia Stenett, Celiflora De León, Rolando Tzunun, Armando Preztantin, Sergio López, Danilo Lacán, Emilio García, Guillermo Aguirre, Teófila Aguirre y Justiniano Pérez. We wish them all the best in the continuation of their ministry in our Parish as Catholic Lay Leaders!
